Titanium dioxide does far more than just add opacity. In this insightful article from PCI Magazine, the authors unpack how TiO₂ surface chemistry directly influences dispersion, stability, and real world pigment performance.
If you work with coatings, pigments, or formulation optimization, this is a must read. Subtle surface effects can have a massive impact on quality, efficiency, and cost and they are often overlooked.
It was a pleasure reconnecting with friends and colleagues from across the industry and having the opportunity to present three innovative solutions that are shaping the future of coatings technology.
We were excited to introduce the Good Prevention System from our sister company NASOTIC. This breakthrough technology has the potential to significantly reduce or even replace traditional biocides in waterborne coatings, while maintaining excellent in-can preservation performance. WCS marked the first public launch of GPS and we are now actively working on bringing it to market.
It was also an honor to highlight the new AI-powered color matching solution from ORONTEC. As a leader in liquid color measurement, ORONTEC is now enabling formulators to create liquid color targets for new shades directly from a dry measurement. This new capability marks an important step forward in digital color formulation and process efficiency.
Finally, we presented the MagnoMeter suite from Mageleka, a powerful toolset that helps scientists and formulators gain deeper insight into the surface chemistry of dispersions. This technology brings exceptional value to anyone working with complex particulate systems and advanced materials.
Three inspiring days, filled with meaningful conversations, new ideas, and tremendous interest from the community. We look forward to continuing these collaborations and driving innovation together.

This year’s CTT was an important event for Metromation. Our partner, Oliver Korten, shared valuable insights on emerging trends in integrating Liquid Color Measurement into R&D with the help of Artificial Intelligence. We are grateful for his support, and his contribution drew significant attention from key stakeholders in our industry.
The introduction of the Good Prevention System (GPS) from our sister company NASOTIC also generated great interest. We were able to demonstrate the strong synergies between our advanced measurement solutions and the innovative chemical solutions NASOTIC provides. As a non-toxic in-can preservation additive, GPS has a promising future in shaping safer and more sustainable practices across the industry.
And last but not least, CTT provided an excellent opportunity to network and reconnect with friends. These trusted relationships continue to be an essential foundation that keeps our industry moving forward.
