Coatings Trends & Technologies Summit

It was a good show with a great program and a wonderful opportunity of meeting peers of the industry. Ralph was presenting AI solutions for Paint Production and moderated on AI session at the conference.

There are three outcomes to mention:

1. One trend is definitely AI and digitalization, but everything depends on how companies deal with it in detail. Besides the hype, it needs a thorough investigation into what is needed and how it can be implemented. Benefits are possible in R&D, as presented by Uncountable and Alchemy. But also in Production, as presented by Metromation on behalf of Hemmelrath Technologies.
2. Another important topic is how the US deals with Sustainability. Some level of lack of understanding of the needs of the industry from US Authorities, but also a look at the European Union and their experience with Sustainability.
3. And last but not least, this conference was full of vivid people from different angles of the industry. It was good to see so many young people and young companies exploring what is possible in the Paint and Coatings Industry.

We are looking forward to the next CTT conference and contributing to the overall performance improvement of our industry.
